No matter where you move, you can always turn to your mother for help.
Christie Brinkley‘s daughter Sailor Brinkley Cook recently moved to Australia, but the legendary supermodel, 64, says the first call she received from her 20-year-old daughter revolved around a “really scary” incident that was happening in her building.
“The first call I get from her: ‘Mom, Mom, there’s two guys in my door, one is shirtless with a ski mask over his head and they’re hanging on the neighbor’s door,” Brinkley told Extra.
Telling her daughter to “not move” and “keep yours doors locked,” Brinkley went on to share that she made it a priority to ensure her daughter moved to a safer building right away.
“Now she’s in a good place,” she continued, adding that it was “really scary.”
Brinkley went on to share that the next call she got from her daughter wasn’t much better.
“The next call was she got the flu, I was like, ‘We are off to a bumpy start.’ ” the supermodel told Extra, adding that things have since settled down. “Now everything is like, ‘I love it here!’”

Despite some of the less savory aspects of her move, Brinkley Cook has been absolutely loving living down under.
“Greetings from Aus! where i can work in a bustling city then take a 10 min uber to the most beautiful beach for a dip,” the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model wrote on Jan. 7, alongside a shot of herself wearing a bright bikini. “3 days into living here and I fcking love it 🌞”
The following day she shared a slideshow of images of her beautiful surroundings, writing, “Living in a dream.”
Brinkley Cook made headlines last year for posing nude for the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
“It was a really beautiful thing because it’s a female-powered project so I walked in [to the shoot] and it’s my friend Mary doing makeup and my friend Taylor doing the photos and my other friend Robin doing the videos,” she told People Now about her experience on set, adding that she felt so comfortable that she wasn’t worried about covering up in front of the camera. “I’m just like ‘what’s up gals?’ It’s like we’re in the locker room or something accept we’re making something really beautiful and important.”
The nude shoot was part of the magazine’s project, “In Her Own Words,” in which Brinkley Cook and models Paulina Porizkova, 52, and Robyn Lawley, 28, wrote meaningful words across their bodies to send an empowering message. But choosing which words to write on herself was a little tricky for Brinkley Cook.
“I feel like I learn more and more about who I am and what I want to give to the world every day, so I could add a million words and take out a million words every day,” she explains. “But I put ‘work in progress’ across my back because I feel like that’s a big thing — we’re all just works in progress trying to better ourselves in a healthy way.”
