I’m 38, she is 36. We have been together for a year and apart from this, we have a great relationship.
We rarely fall out but I can’t help but think she still has strong feelings for her husband, even though they divorced three years ago.
It has happened a few times now. She has tried to convince me I am the one she loves and wants to be with but I’m worried this isn’t the case.
I am starting to wonder whether it is worth us being together if she continues to call out his name.
DEIDRE SAYS: It does sound like this was a simple blip, due to the way our brains work.
If she was married for quite a while, her automatic responses are just stuck in a bit of a groove, that’s all. Don’t let your insecurity get the better of you. Hear her when she says you are the one she loves and wants to be with.
I hope you will soon see the funny side and be able to have a laugh about it.
