Challow Hurdle runners and riders: Your pinstickers' guide to the Newbury contest on Saturday

Nicky Henderson's progressive hurdler is the ante-post favourite for the Ballymore at the Cheltenham Festival.

Brewin'Upastorm 4/5

Vintage Brew. Promising five-year-old who won doing handstands at Huntingdon.

Big step up in class but he is clearly a horse with bundles of potential.

Champ 5/5

Just Champion. Rapidly progressive six-year-old ran out a ready winner over course and distance last time.

Already the antepost favourite for the Ballymore at Cheltenham and he looks the one to beat for his top yard.

Coolanly 3/5

Cool runnings. Showed a good turn of foot to win at Cheltenham in November.

Not sure how strong that race was, but he is going the right way and his yard won this race last term.

Getaway Trump 2/5

Away with the fairies. Improved the last twice, winning particularly well at Exeter.

Yard are in flying form, but he needs to take a big step forward.

Kateson 4/5

Go on my son. Doesn't look the most straightforward but he has loads of ability.

Two from two over hurdles and he is a very smart horse in the making.

Nestor Park 2/5

Park life. Bounced back to form with a comfortable win at Warwick.

In much deeper here though and will likely come up short.

Alsa Mix 3/5

Hot salsa. Unfancied but preserved her unbeaten record at Sandown last time.

Has something to find on the figures, but she is a winning machine who commands respect.
