Gosford jockey Jenny Duggan made a seven-hour round trip to Queanbeyan for just one ride on Monday, but she ensured it was one to remember with a superb victory.
Veteran horse trainer Mike Petrovic knows the drive home feels twice as long after a tough day at the track, so he was savouring the moment with Duggan on Monday.

Duggan guided Petrovic's Onsettling Down to his first win since October in the apprentice jockeys-only Class 1 Handicap (1000 metres).
"She used to ride a couple for me in Sydney, and she was really flying in those days, and I told her today I hadn't seen her in a long time and she said she'd had two babies," Petrovic said.
"She also had an accident on a horse and smashed her nose but she's back now, and you've got to give her the accolades because she's come all the way from Gosford, to drive that far for one ride just shows how hard she works.
"She reminded me she beat at Bathurst last June, we ran second to her, but I forgave her because she won today.
"You've got to have a bit of fun in racing because it's a hard game. All the things that can happen these days, when a horse wins all the weight is off your shoulders."
Petrovic said he'd loved Onsettling Down from the day he was born and he'll now look to take the three-year-old to Rosehill for a Highway Handicap.
"I raced a mare called Kariz and they wanted to sell it, but I didn't want to because I knew the mare gave 100 per cent and I wanted to breed one, so we did," Petrovic said.

"I lost her first foal in a massive storm which was a real tragedy. But I persevered with the mare and this bloke came out. I've loved him from day one.
"Racing is fun, even when you have a good run and lose. I got beat by a nostril at Braidwood the other day, but there were 2000 people out there, I love going to those meetings.
"I was still happy, you still come home and have a bottle of wine and enjoy it. I do it for love, not money. You don't take any of it with us so may as well enjoy the ride."
