THOMAS TUCHEL is set to land a contract extension at PSG – despite their Champions League exit, according to reports.
L'Equipe say the deal could be announced in the next few days.
The French giants crashed out of Europe's top competition after Man United's miracle comeback in the Parc des Princes.
German Tuchel, formerly in charge of Borussia Dortmund, has a current PSG contract that runs until 2020.
The new deal will tie him down to 2021 with an option to extend it to 2022.
Tuchel recently spoke of his desire to stay in the French capital.
He said: "Yes I want to stay for a long time, to develop and have success with this club."
Tuchel, who has two of football's hottest properties in Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, has led his side to a 17-point lead at the top of Ligue 1.
They are also well in the hunt to land the Couple de France.
But it is in Europe that Tuchel will be tasked with improving in the coming years.
Although club bosses are said to be convinced he is the right man after they qualified from a tough Champions League group and did win at Old Trafford before self-combusting at home.
