John Barrowman met This Morning co-host Rochelle Humes for first time TODAY just hours before show

JOHN Barrowman has revealed he'll come face to face with his This Morning co-host Rochelle Humes for the very first time just before today's show.

The I'm A Celebrity star received rave reviews when he kicked off his Easter presenting stint with Emily Atack on Friday.

He spent weeks in the jungle forming a close bond with Emily, but today will be an entirely different story when he meets Rochelle on set.

John exclusively told The Sun Online: "On Friday I hit it off with Emily who I know like the back of my hand.

"I have only watched Rochelle on TV in a couple of things she's done, so this is a new team-up for us.

"I won't get to meet up with her until the day we go on air.

"I can't wait because she's experienced and knows what she's doing. It'll be interesting to put us together and see the dynamic.

"The audience will be watching us getting to know each other during the course of Monday."

Quizzed on whether he's worried about their on-screen chemistry, John said: "Nothing daunts me.

"I pretty much get along with everybody.

"Her personality is similar so I'm really looking forward to that part of it because that'll be new for me.

"I always think, 'why worry'? If you sit and worry and stress about something it just winds you up.

"I will show up, look at the script and just get on with it – one segment at a time.

"If I think about the whole show the moment I walk on stage, I go loopy.

"If something goes wrong then that's when professionalism kicks in, because you have to fix it."

John has flown over from his home in California to share the sofa with regular host Rochelle, who stood in for Holly Willoughby when she was in Australia filming last year's I'm A Celebrity.

There was chaos in the studio on Friday as he messed around with Emily who dropped a lamb live on air when it pooed on her dress.

Despite vowing to keep it clean on the show, John insists he will prank pal Holly by messing around backstage while she's on holiday.

"I'm going to redecorate the dressing rooms," said John.

"In fact I'll go through Holly's dressing room and find out what she's wearing the week she gets back."

He added: "I'm so excited to start. We're not going to try to be Holly and Phil.

"We'll be John and Emily or John and Rochelle and that might introduce a new dynamic.

"Fans are really excited about it, my social media has blown up."

  • ITV's This Morning with John Barrowman and Rochelle Humes starts at 10.30am on Monday, April 15.
