Liz Hurley's lookalike son Damian will inherit £1.8m when he turns 18 next year

The Mail reports that he is set to inherit £1.8 million from his businessman dad Steve Bing the moment he turns 18 next year.

Liz and Steve, who is worth an estimated £470 million, had a brief fling in the early 2000s which resulted in Damian being born.

At the time, Steve denied being the father, claiming they did not have an "exclusive" relationship – though a DNA test later proved he was indeed Damian's dad.

The paper reports today that he has been paying £100,000 a year into a trust for him since 2002 – even though Liz is reported to have asked him not to initially.

They quote a spokesman for Steve as saying: "It's not the mother's right to turn away support for the child."

Liz, 53, and Damian, 16, are clearly very close, seeing in the New Year together in the Indian capital Mumbai.

He shared a picture of them together, with matching hairstyles, and Damian in traditional local dress.

The relationship has often been commented on, with Eamonn Holmes slamming it as "weird" during a recent Loose Women appearance.

The 59-year-old This Morning host said: "It's weird. I'm sorry, it's seriously weird."

Liz and Damian have even worked together in the past, with him playing Prince Hansel von Liechtenstein in TV show The Royals.

The role of being a wealthy young man might not have been entirely unfamiliar to him – particularly given that Liz stars in the drama as his mum, the Queen of England.
