The latest instalment of Love Island was an hour-long drama-filled ride.
Last night’s episode saw Michael Griffiths and Amber Gill share their first kiss, Amy Hart and Curtis Pritchard enjoying a night in the Hideaway, and Joe Garratt and Lucie Dolan leaving the villa for their first date.
During their romantic evening in the Hideaway, Curtis decided to take his relationship with Amy to the next level.
Struggling to find the right words, he revealed he didn’t “want to see anyone else”.
He said: “We’re very close and very good together at the moment and I definitely don’t want to see anyone else.
“I know that no-one is going to walk through the door and turn my head at all. I’m not asking you to be in a relationship but I just want to lock it off.”
In a weird move which divided viewers, Curtis asked Amy if she would be his “half-girlfriend”.
Amy was elated with the news and soon shared what happened with the girls the next morning.
It wasn’t long before another couple decided to take the leap, and go “exclusive”.
After their paddle-boarding date, Joe popped the same question to Lucie.
However, after learning about Joe and Lucie’s happy news, Amy vented her frustration in the Beach Hut, claiming the duo “stole her thunder”.
She said: “It’s a bit of a coincidence that on the night me and Curtis announce we are exclusive that someone else does as well.
“I feel like Joe and Lucie stole our thunder a bit.
“I just think, what about tomorrow? Why not make it special instead of just thinking, ‘Oh they’ve done it, why don’t we do it?'”
While Amy and Curtis have been fan-favourites from the start, viewers commented that Amy [remove double space] was being “childish” and “overreacted”.
One wrote: “OMG Amy get a f***ing grip. No offence but as the days go on your bitchy side comes out more and more.”
While a second said: “Amy telling Curtis she thinks Lucie and Joe are stealing their thunder p***ed me off. Who do you think you are?”
A third put: “Stole your thunder? Amy and Curtis are absolute school children.”
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
