Love Island's Hayley Hughes forgets who Dr Alex George is in very awkward Christmas reunion

The scouser, 22, who was the first to be voted off the show, was famous for her Brexit discussion in the villa, as well as snubbing Dr Alex during a snogging game early on in the show.

It has only been a few months since she was holed up in a house with her fellow hopeful 24 hours a day, but she still did not seem to recognise him when they came face to face.

In a very awkward Christmas reunion, which airs on ITV2 at 9pm tomorrow, Eyal Booker reads out a Christmas quiz, asking "who Kendall wanted to go on a date with after she was dumped from Love Island."

Alexandra Cane answered "Dr Alex," then Hayley shouted over the room "Who's Dr Alex?" before the rest of the Love Islanders fell about laughing.

Hayley said: "Sorry I thought that was like a professional doctor," to which the entire able burst out in laughter again.

In the VT afterwards, a stunned Alex was left blushing at Hayley's snub.

He said: "I mean thanks Hayley, I'm literally sat right there, not that many seats down from her, and she forgot completely who I was."

Hayley said to the cameras afterwards: "It sounds a bit like royalty or something. I'm better not speaking honest to God."

It's not the first time Hayley has delivered a crushing blow to Dr Alex.

She left viewers feeling sorry for the A & E doctor as she refused to kiss him initially in a snogging game.

Alex was left to walk away looking red-faced.

She did eventually kiss Alex when he came back for a second attempt.

Hayley was also famed for her Brexit discussion when she related Brexit to trees.

On episode five of Love Island she admitted that she didn't have a clue what Brexit is.

She was having a conversation with Dani, Kendall, Samira and Georgia when they started discussing what it would mean for Britain leaving the EU.

Confused by Georgia's comment on cutting down welfare and trade, Hayley said: "So does that mean we won't have any trees?"

The one off special airs on Monday 17th December at 9pm on ITV2.
