Former A Place In The Sun presenter Amanda Lamb has been busy soaking up the sun and proving to her followers that she is “beach body ready” while on a trip to the Great British seaside.
50 year old Amanda took to Instagram to document the sunny trip and shared a stunning snap of herself posing in front of the country’s rocky shores while wearing a chic black bikini.
Amanda looked incredible in the picture and could be seen smiling from ear to ear as she sported a two piece for the first time in a number of years.
To finish off the beachy look, the TV personality wore a pair of black oversized sunglasses and wore her brunette hair in a low bun.
Captioning the post, Amanda explained that for various reasons she hadn’t worn a bikini in 10 years until now but felt “good” for finally doing it.
“Got myself beach body ready today. I got my body and took it to the beach. Done!,” she said.
“First time in a decade I was brave enough/not give a s**t enough to worry about wearing a bikini on a beach. It felt good.”
After posting the picture, Amanda was inundated with comments from her followers who were keen to praise the star’s body positivity and empowering message.
“Always be brave… Never not wear a bikini, looking fab [bikini emoji],” wrote one.
“I’m in Greece right now. Everyone of my age and older are wearing bikinis. I am not and I feel really old fashioned! I wish I had the confidence. You look fab in yours! Xx,” said another.
Another agreed and added: “You look amazing, why do we worry and why do we give a s**t what anyone else thinks, I’m 47 today and I finally don’t give a flying f***! [applause emoji]”.
While on the trip, Amanda also opened up about the use of filters on social media and shared a snap of her looking radiant while going makeup free.
Taking to her Instagram Story, the presenter explained that she’d taken a selfie and preferred her unfiltered face to one that had been edited.
“Now here’s an interesting thing. I took a selfie and filtered it to post tonight,” she wrote.
“I’ve just posted the unfiltered version as I much prefer the salty old sea dog I see when I look up the mirror than the polished, wrinkle less version. I’ll post them both so you can see what I mean…”
Amanda isn’t the only A Place In The Sun presenter who has been relaxing in the sun, withfellow star Laura Hamilton recently enjoying a luxury camping holiday with her rarely seen children.
TV personalityLaura has also headed to Greece where she has shown off her lavish lifestyle and love for the outdoors by swimming, jet-skiing and soaking up the Kafalonia sun.
