Strictly: Adam Thomas on his chances of winning
Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Brendan Cole has called out Adam Thomas’ partner Luba Mushtuk.
Brendan, 47, has given his opinion on this year’s celebrity cohort – all of which are still in with a chance of lifting the prestigious Glitterball Trophy.
Last Saturday (23 September), Adam, 35, stepped out into the BBC ballroom for the first time with Russian dancer and choreographer Luba, 33.
However, they came joint-third from the bottom in the rankings after the judges awarded just 19 points for their Cha Cha Cha to Waffle House by the Jonas Brothers.
Brendan has now told Sky Bingo that he didn’t enjoy the choreography bestowed upon the Waterloo Road actor.

The New Zealander said: “I think [Adam Thomas’] partner needs to do better. I didn’t like the choreography choice. I didn’t like the set to start the show. I mean, that could be production intervening and going, ‘We want this’, but for me it lacked, it seemed like an average routine.
“It was opening the show so that was kind of odd. I was pleased to watch him because he’s really nice to watch, but at the end, it was kind of dull, but I don’t think it’s his fault.”
Brendan went on to say that he believes it’s going to take some “very clever stuff” between Adam and Luba to “make it right”.
However, despite slamming the 33-year-old’s Cha Cha Cha routine, the Dancing on Ice star went on to say that she was a “great dancer”.
“So she should be really good, but I just didn’t think that was a strong enough start for the show,” he claimed.
“So many things come into it – quite often you don’t get the music choice you want because production wants you to do a certain thing.

“They’ll want a certain set look and if they’re not your ideas, then it can be really quite frustrating, and so you don’t get the best out of the pro.”
To conclude, the one-time Strictly champion said: “I thought it was an average looking number for somebody who should be quite fun to watch.”
Brendan previously made his debut back in 2004, when he stormed the show with former news anchor Natasha Kaplinsky.
After winning the inaugural season of Strictly Come Dancing, he made 14 more appearances and danced alongside celebrities including Kirsty Gallacher, Kelly Brook and two-time Olympic Gold medalist Victoria Pendelton.
His last Strictly season took place in 2017 when he returned to the 15th series with Good Morning Britain’s Charlotte Hawkins.
Despite being eliminated in week four, he went on to compete and win the 2017 Christmas Special with Katie Derham.
Adam and Luba will be hoping to make a splash this weekend and are due to perform a Tango to Somebody Told Me by Maneskin.
Strictly Come Dancing is on BBC One at 6.20pm on Saturday.
