Alan Carr gives update after collapsing on floor in agony on stage during tour

Alan Carr has given an update after fans saw him collapse in pain whilst performing in his Regional Trinket tour.

The comedian, 46, had been on stage in Glasgow when he suddenly felt "shooting pains".

Taking to his 1.1million Instagram followers to explain what had happened, Alan posted a video on his page.

He said: "I've been performing up in Glasgow and there's a bit in my routine where I pretend to be Jason Statham.

"I high kicked then I got the worst cramp ever. It was shooting pains and I was rolling around on the floor, so people thought it was part of the act.

"My lovely tour manager poked this crutch through the curtains. I had to finish the show."

He added: "I'm healed now. I've had some ibuprofen. I think I've torn it, but hopefully I'm going to have to rest.

"Sorry, I put a very dramatic picture of me with some peas, but I'm fine. I just felt eggy and felt silly rolling around on the floor.

"I've never felt pain like it! I will solider on like I always do."

Writing underneath the video, Alan's caption read: "Don't worry about little old me! The show must go on."

Taking to the comment section, many fans and celebrity friends sent their well wishes to the star.

One person said: "I was there tonight and glad you are okay, but you were brilliant and powered on. Best show, laughing from start to end (not at you hurting yourself tho)."

A second wrote: "Hope you're ok!!! It's funny that with all the things you can get now for ailments and injuries, nothing beats a bad of frozen peas."

"Those high kicks! Hope you feel better in the morning," another commented.

Whilst Vicky Pattison wrote: "I love you man," Carol Vorderman said: "Oh Al" with love heart emojis, and Vanessa Feltz commented: "Worried about you. Should you be checked out by a GP or at A&E just to be sure?"

Alan has recently been going through a tough time following the separation from his husband Paul Drayton.

The pair, who announced their split in January of this year, got married in 2018 in Los Angeles with Adele being the officiator.

They were together for 13 years in total.
