Angelina Jolie joked that she has a ‘very long list of nos’ when it comes to dating.
The 46-year-old has not gone public with a relationship since her split from Brad Pitt nearly five years ago.
When asked whether she had any ‘dating no-nos’ when it came to judging love interests, Angelina said: ‘I probably have a very long list. I’ve been alone for a long time now.’
Brad and Angelina got married in 2014 after over nine years together, during which time they welcomed Shiloh, 14, and 12-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne; Brad also adopted Angelina’s adoptive children Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, and Zahara, 16.
However, in 2016, Brangelina confirmed they were splitting up, and as of 2019, the A-listers are legally separated.
The exes’ six children live with their mother, and while looking after the welfare of six kids may sound stressful, the actress said she doesn’t need to fret about them.
Speaking to E! News, Angelina said: ‘I’m very fortunate, I have six very capable children. Of course you wake up and you just feel like, “I’ve got to make sure they’re OK. I’ve got to make sure they’re mentally OK,” but honestly I think a few years ago it switched and they’re kind of thinking, “I’ve got to make sure mom’s OK.”
‘They take really good care of me. We’re such a team so I am very, very lucky.
‘I’m always the one who worries but I don’t worry about them. They’re cool people.’
Prior to her relationship with Brad, which began when she met the actor – who at the time was married to Jennifer Aniston – on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith – Ange was married twice.
She first married actor Jonny Lee Miller in 1996 – wearing black rubber trousers – but their relationship ended the following year, with their divorce finalised in 1999.
Then in 2000, Angelina married Billy Bob Thornton after two months of dating, and famously wore vials of each other’s blood around their necks.
They had planned to adopt Maddox together, but they split up in 2002 and Angelina adopted her first son herself.
Angelina is currently promoting her new film Those Who Wish Me Dead, which sees her returning to her action hero era.
The Oscar winner plays a smokejumper and wildlife expert who must outwit assassins who are attempting to kill her and a young boy who escaped them in a deadly blaze.
After the survival film, Angelina will next be seen in her first Marvel outing, as she stars in Eternals as Thena.
