Anton du Beke has been a firm fixture in Strictly Come Dancing ever since it started in 2004. The professional dancer has now spoken out on his celebrity partners over the years.

The 25-year-old lingerie model is probably not going to come my way

The 54-year-old suggested you can usually guess who he will be teamed up with when a line-up is released.

The father-of-two quipped that “the 25-year-old lingerie model” is highly unlikely to be working with him

However, Anton did say it is always open to change, and the pros never know before the public.

His shared his opinion on Johnnie and Tiggy Walker Consciously Coupling podcast, alongside his wife Hannah.

Tiggy asked the BBC favourite: “You’re not known for getting the youngest, sexiest contenders.

“You can almost see the line-up each year and go, ‘That’s the person who’s going to get Anton’.”

“Anybody could dance with anybody,” the performer initially replied.

However continued: “But you look at a line-up of lady celebrities and you can pretty much know who I’m going to get.

“I mean, the 25-year-old lingerie model is probably not going to come my way.”

Anton named two of his co-stars as the most likely professionals to get someone like that.

He said: “She’ll probably be swerving over to Giovanni [Pernice] or Aljaz [Skorjanec] or somebody like that.”

The Italian dancer, 30, first appeared in Strictly in 2015, while the latter, 31, joined two years prior.

Anton then stated: “The 25-year-old lingerie model’s mum, now you’re talking…

“The thing is, it works the other way. As the ladies of a certain age know when they get asked to do Strictly, they’ll probably end up dancing with me.

“And they worry they’re going to end up doing comedy. Chucked around the floor… which is not really the case.”

He finished by saying there was “an element of predictability” with who gets who.

Anton came closest to lifting the Glitterball in his very first series, when Lesley Garrett reached the final.

This also happened two years ago, when he also performed in the finale with Emma Barton.

He and Laila Rouass came in fourth place, and the same happened alongside Katie Derham.

His other partners have been, in chronological order, Esther Rantzen, Patsy Palmer, Jan Ravens, Kate Garraway, Gillian Taylforth, Ann Widdecombe, Nancy Dell’Olio, Jerry Hall, Fiona Fullerton, Judy Murray, Lesley Joseph, Ruth Langsford, Susannah Constantine and Jacqui Smith last year.
