Barbra Streisand has revealed that the late Marlon Brando came onto her three times after she shot to international stardom in the 1960s.
The first time he contacted Barbra she was still a rising star, and she was informed by a contact: “Marlon Brando told me: ‘If you ever see Barbra Streisand, tell that b**** she’s great’.”
By the time they first met in 1965, Barbra was cast in Funny Girl and had released her hit record People.
Barbra, then 23, was due to sing at a civil rights benefit when Marlon, then 41, made his moves.
Prior to the meeting, Barbra had regarded the Godfather star as “the most gorgeous, the most brilliant, and the most talented human being on earth”.

Having been raised by a conservative mother, she was utterly unprepared for Marlon’s charms.
Wearing a backless gown, she “felt someone kissing my back”, and when she turned around it was Marlon.
Writing in her memoir, she said she told Marlon: “You’re destroying my fantasy.”
The encounter completely threw Barbara off leaving her to mess up a song when she took to the stage.

They met again a year later at a star-studded London party, held at the home of Leslie Caron, the French leading lady of Gigi.
The pair had a lovely chat before they drifted to a private room and spoke for four hours about their lives.
However, at hour three, he suddenly told Barbara: “I’d like to f*** you.”
Startled, Barbra replied: “That sounds awful.”
However, the attempt at seduction was made even more awkward due to both Barba and Marlon being married to other people.
By the time he made another pass at her in 1972, Barbra and Marlon were both divorced, however, Barba admitted his sex appeal had begun to dissipate.
Out of the blue, he called her up and invited her to “sleep under the stars” with him during an overnight trip to the California desert.
Despite a romance never beginning between them, they did develop a deep friendship due to their willingness to speak freely about their personal anguish.
They never did make it to bed together before Marlon died in 2004 at the age of 80, with Barba attending his funeral.
His failure to conquer Barbra was a lasting regret of his, with Barbra speaking out about their last conversation previously.
