Brooke Vincent has opened up on how realising her fiancé Kean Bryan was her son's favourite parent was "the most hard situation to navigate."
The 30-year-old shares sons Mexx, three, and Monroe, two, with West Bromwich Albion footballer Kean, 26.
Former Coronation Street star Brooke joined her longtime friend Scott Thomas on his Learning As I Go podcast to discuss her time on the hit soap, parenting and learning to prioritise herself when she made the revelation.
Discussing how she discovered Mexx in particular was more of a fan of her fiancé, Brooke said: "The situation that I've found most hard is finding out that Kean is Mexx's favourite [parent]. I was like, 'How is he your favourite? I'm the mum, I should be your favourite.'"
When former Love Island star Scott, 34, asked how she knew Kean was his favourite parent, Brooke said "it's evident."
She went on to add how up until recently she has been youngest son Monroe's favourite, but she feels like he is also transferring to team Kean.
"I know I'm Monroe's favourite but I think I'm losing that as well. Mexx's favourite is Kean through and through and when I first realised that I had to ask and he fully let me know," she laughed.
Scott then recalled how he asked his late dad, Dougie, who his favourite son was out of him and his brothers Ryan Thomas and Adam Thomas, and was left surprised by his answer.
He said: "I asked my dad once because I thought he'd never say it.
"We were sat in the garden and I said, 'Dad, who's your favourite?' And he went, 'It's got to be Ryan.' I was like, 'No way!'"
Last month, Brooke admitted she was feeling heartbroken that Mexx was growing up in an honest social media post.
In a photo shared to her Instagram page, Brooke’s son was seen grinning while sat on a swing as he sported a football kit, socks and boots.
“When did you get so big,” the actress wrote alongside the sweet picture with two heartbroken emojis.
Brooke’s 936,000 Instagram followers were quick to gush over her son as they hailed him as “gorgeous”.
“That smile,” wrote another, referring to Mexx’s cheeky grin.
