Brooklyn Beckham calls Victoria rift ‘rubbish’ and insists they get along ‘fine’

Brooklyn Beckham has dubbed the so-called rift between his wife, Nicola Peltz, and his mum, Victoria Beckham, “rubbish” and insisted that they are “fine.”

The eldest son of Victoria and David Beckham has found himself between his wife and his mum in recent months, with the alleged feud reportedly starting over Nicola’s wedding dress.

But in an interview with Bustle this week, the 23 year old amateur chef has hit back at the claims despite insiders previously saying there was, in fact, a feud.

“It [the feud] goes everywhere and everyone talks about it,” Brooklyn said, adding that everyone gets along “fine.”

“People love to write stuff, always love to write rubbish.”

The former amateur photographer also said that the claims about Nicola demanding he spend Christmas with her family are also false.

“No, no!” he said, laughing according to the publication. “They always write rubbish.”

Despite Brooklyn’s insistence, the feud allegedly began when Victoria, who was making dresses for many of the wedding guests, could no longer make Nicola’s due to issues at her London-based atelier.

"We connected to start designing the dress, and then a few days went by and I didn't hear anything. Victoria called my mom and said her atelier couldn't make it.” Nicola previously told Grazia.

"We connected to start designing the dress, and then a few days went by and I didn't hear anything. Victoria called my mom and said her atelier couldn't make it.”

An Insider from the wedding also believes that: “The top table was all Peltzes and it really felt as though the Beckhams were not at the forefront.”

The tension was then subdued at Paris Fashion Week, with both Brooklyn and his wife attending Victoria’s runway debut.

But then a source close to the family told Heat Magazine that despite appearances, Paris had only “made things more complicated.”

“But no one believes the reconciliation will last long – especially now Nicola has refused to spend Christmas with the Beckhams for the second year in a row,” the source added.

After Brooklyn spoke to wanting a family in a US interview, a source told OK! that Victoria is finding the prospect “difficult” due to the issues between the international family.

“Brooklyn is a real homeboy and he really wants a family, a big one, and so does Nicola. He just wants to make Nicola happy and he promised to do that when he married her,” our source explained.

“And nothing would make Victoria happier than being a grandmother, and she would love to be a hands-on granny, but it could be difficult with the tension and distance between them.”

With conflicting reports from just about everyone involved, the feud’s validity is anyone’s guess.
