Adam Thomas updates fans after Strictly rehearsal
Waterloo Road star Adam Thomas apologised to his Strictly Come Dancing partner Luba Mushtuk tonight after their routine didn’t go as smoothly as he’d hoped.
The former Emmerdale actor and professional dancer performed a sizzling Tango to the rock song Somebody Told Me by The Killers, receiving a mixed reaction from the judges.
While the pair received 23 points for their routine, which places them in the middle of the leaderboard, Adam seemed disappointed in his performance.
In response to Adam’s downcast expression, BBC host Claudia Winkleman expressed her concern for the actor as they joined her and their fellow dancers upstairs.
“Are you alright?” Claudia asked him sincerely. “I was looking at your face during those comments.”

“Yeah I’m great, I’m on top of the word,” Adam replied sarcastically, as Claudia explained he was the “smiliest boy”, which made it all the worse to see him upset.
“I’m not smiling now, I’ll be honest,” Adam continued as the star appeared to fight back tears.
“I tried my hardest and I just feel like I let you down,” he admitted, apologising to his partner Luba.
“You didn’t at all!” Luba exclaimed, as Claudia agreed: “You didn’t! It’s week two and they said the choreography was brilliant, and they loved the performance. I don’t want you to feel bad at all.

Luba then told Adam she was “so proud” of him, as the star reflected: “I tried my best tonight and hopefully that will be enough.”
After the pair received their scores, Claudia noticed that Adam still looked preoccupied with his most recent performance.
“Do not beat yourself up,” she warned him. “Do not. As a group, we won’t allow it,” she added before all of Adam’s fellow performers pulled him in for a group hug.
Tomorrow, audiences will tune in to find out which celebrity will be the first to wave goodbye to the dance floor following the first dance-off.
Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, while Strictly Come Dancing: The Results airs tomorrow night at 7.15pm.
