Danniella Westbrook hits back at cruel troll who mocked her over hospital ordeal

Danniella Westbrook has hit back at a cruel troll who mocked her health troubles after being discharged from hospital this evening.

The former soap star, 45, was rushed to A&E today after suffering bleeding linked to a recent operation to remove tumours from her womb.

She's later revealed she's tired but ok after leaving hospital and heading back to the rehab centre where she's enrolled in a three-month treatment program.

In a post on Twitter this evening, she wrote: "Tired worn out drained and banging headache and just been discharged from hospital…

"Just want my bed . Have a good weekend all."

After posting the update, Danniella had to deal with abuse from a cruel troll who mocked her troubles.

The troll wrote: "Oh my heart bleeds given another chance to get your life back. I have supported you, but this is excruciating."

Danniella hit back, writing: "Why I’ve had tumours removed and I’ve had complications.,, I don’t understand your venom tbh…

"I don’t understand what your saying yes I’ve been given a huge chance and I’ve grabbed it with both hands ,so why the tweet you sent?

"When I’ve been in hospital because of complications to an operation I’ve had… people that just comment and assume and judge really annoy me."

The troll later backtracked and apologised for mocking the troubled star.

Danniella added: "I’m tired due to complications of my op,your insinuation that I’m not taking my recovery seriously or that others deserve the chance more.

"The reason for feeling the way I did today was due to excessive bleeding after my operation."

Following the operation to remove tumours earlier this month, the telly star told how she felt like boxer Tony Bellew had used her stomach as a 'punching bag' following the operation.

To undergo the procedure, Daniella had to take some time out of her current rehab program – which has been paid for by Jeremy Kyle.

She tweeted after surgery: "Feeling weak tired but happy it’s all over.. time to recover from this operation I’m back in rehab & want to thank all of you for your love enjoy your weekend all stay blessed x"

Danniella went public with her womb cancer diagnosis back in September , telling the Sunday Mirror she's battling the same condition that killed her friend Jade Goody nine years ago.

The actress started having symptoms almost two years before her cancer diagnosis.

She said: "About a year-and-a-half ago when I was in Spain I was getting bad periods. I thought I was going through the menopause because of all my body has been through.

"I had always had miscarriages and my body suffered. I went to the doctor in Spain and she said, 'You are anaemic, you are fine'.

"But I came back at Christmas last year and I was so ill. I was bleeding badly. I came on my period and it lasted six weeks.

"It was a heavy period to the point where I was walking along and I would get a pain and then come on my period. I was losing clots of blood.

"I was changing my clothes six times a day, having to shower all the time because there was so much blood."

Doctors believed she was pregnant, but it wasn't until she collapsed at home this summer that she finally got answers.

"They said it's cancerous behind the uterus wall and that's why it's not being detected. He said you will need a full hysterectomy and laser treatment," she said.

"So I came back to my doctor in Epping, Essex. She confirmed it and now they are removing my uterus, I'm having a hysterectomy."

Recovering addict Danniella's first reaction to the news was to relapse on a 48-hour cocaine binge, but her son Kai told her to come home from Marbella and sort her life out.

"I've always said I'm not scared of dying but then when you get cancer you think, 'I don’t want to die'. It makes me think about my health and getting better," she added.
