Actress Natalie Cassidy has shared a sweet snap of her and her fiancé Marc Humphries, as they spent time with their kids over the festive period.
Best known for her as Sonia Fowler in EastEnders, Natalie also works alongside freelance cameraman Marc as he regularly films the beloved BBC soap.
Whilst Marc may be more comfortable behind the camera, he was seen next to Natalie as the couple sat at a restaurant with their kids.
The pair even seemed to have more fun than their children, as they coloured in Christmassy illustrations as they waited for their food.
Sharing the snap on her Instagram stories, Natalie jokingly captioned the picture: "When mummy and daddy enjoy the kids colouring more than the kids."
The couple have been together since 2014 and announced their engagement in late 2015, with Natalie revealing that she was pregnant with her second child shortly after.
Their daughter Joanie Elizabeth Cassidy-Humphreys was born in 2016, and Marc is also stepdad to Natalie’s oldest daughter Eliza – whom she shares with ex Adam Cottrell.
Despite the couple’s hectic filming schedule, Natalie and Marc were able to enjoy some downtime with their young family over Christmas.
Earlier this week, Natalie shared an adorable update with fans with several pictures of her family.
Posing beside their ornately decorated Christmas tree, they were in high spirits with Natalie's daughters wearing festive pjs featuring gingerbread men and houses.
The family picked up youngster Joannie, as they beamed for the camera – much to the delight of the six-year-old.
In a later picture, Marc held Natalie in his arms as they exchange a passionate kiss surrounded by their presents.
Speaking with fans, she said that it had been a “great Christmas day”.
However, the same cannot be said of her on-screen counterpart Sonia.
The beloved character faced another Christmas tragedy, as Mick Carter disappeared during the must-watch episode.
It’s a bitter blow for the character, who recently inherited Dot’s home and was amid a blossoming romance with Dot’s great-nephew, Reiss Colwell.
However, Natalie has little empathy for her character and jokingly described her as “a bit miserable” in a recent interview with The Sun.
She added: “You've got to remember she's a nurse, she works really hard, she's got Dotty on her case all the time, Dot's not been around.”
The actress did hint though that things may be changing for her character soon.
"I can't give too much away but with the stuff I've been doing lately, I really feel you're seeing the comedic side of Sonia come back and the light.”
She added: "And I really am enjoying that because I haven't done it in a while and it feels really special."
