The mother of the late actor Angus Cloud has heartbreakingly described the moment she found her son unresponsive in his bedroom as she desperately tried to resuscitate him.
Angus, who found fame as Fezco in TV show Euphoria, died aged just 25 in July from an "accidental overdose" at his family home in Oakland, California.
And now his mother Lisa has opened up about his devastating death, as she said: "He was so beautiful and creative. He loved his home and he loved this little, tiny room."
Speaking of the awful moment she approached Angus – who was sitting on his bedroom desk – to say good morning, before discovering something was wrong, she said: "I started shaking him and screaming. I pushed him hard, and he fell on the floor. I tried to resuscitate him — mouth to mouth — and I was compressing him.
Speaking to US magazine People, Lisa said: "I was screaming for my neighbour because I didn’t want to leave him and call 911, and I just kept at it until they took him away."
The brokenhearted mum described her son as "the love of my life" as she said "I miss him so much". The actor's death was recently confirmed and ruled as accidental after he was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene at his family home in California in July.
It was recently revealed that the young star had died from an "accidental overdose" as Alameda County Coroner’s Office now said in a statement: "Angus Cloud died from a lethal combination of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and more, in what is ruled as an accidental overdose.”
“Angus suffered from acute intoxication from the combination of drugs, which also included benzodiazepine.”
The actor's tragic death came just one week after he buried his father in Ireland after he battled with cancer. Angus was reportedly left struggling after his 65 year old father passed away.
Angus’ mother Lisa was the person who made the 911 call and told them he had a "possible overdose" and that he did not have a pulse.
His family also suggested that the death may have been a possible suicide, however they later stated that it was "abundantly clear that he did not intend to check out of this world".
Following the time that Angus' death was made clear to the public, his mum Lisa released a statement. It said: "Friends, I want you all to know I appreciate your love for my family at this shattered time.
“I also want you to know that although my son was in deep grief about his father’s untimely death from mesothelioma, his last day was a joyful one.”
