Jerome Flynn, who is best known for playing Bronn in Game Of Thrones and as one half of Robson and Jerome, joined Extinction Rebellion supporters outside Isleworth Crown Court as co-founder Dr Gail Bradbrook was spared jail.
On Monday, the 51-year-old was found guilty of breaking a window in protest against HS2 at the Department for Transport in October 2019. The incident caused £27,000 worth of damage to the government building.
The mother-of-two, from Stroud, Gloucestershire, was handed a 15-month prison sentence suspended for 15 months, 150 hours of unpaid work and a year-long supervision order.
Dr Bradbrook’s supporters gathered outside the court, including the Game Of Thrones actor and others who were dressed as suffragettes.
Mr Flynn said, as reported by MailOnline: “I’m here to support my friend Gail, because I’m proud of her and what she and all of these women are standing up for.

“There’s a crime at the heart of the case this morning and it is not Gail smashing up this window, it’s the plan that HS2 was and still is in part which is a crime against nature, a crime against our children and our futures.
“If I think of a world without Extinction Rebellion I think we would be in a much worse place.”
The 60-year-old also criticised the outcome at the court, saying that “they are willing to charge Gail for coming out and protecting life” and that “it shows that we are at the dying ends of a system that is disconnected from life and not interested in the future for our children”.
He said that “Gail is a mother who simply wants to protect that”, adding: “Hers isn’t the crime. The crime at the heart of it is this very disconnected plan to make life more convenient for some privileged few.”

In a statement after the hearing, released by Extinction Rebellion, Dr Bradbrook said the courts were “complicit in marching us off a climate cliff” while those responsible for “destroying (Earth’s) life-support systems are not being held accountable”.
The activist co-founded the environmental campaign group in 2018 with her ex-partner Simon Bramwell and several others.
