Gemma Atkinson reveals her dog is having physio after suffering from arthritis
Gemma Atkinson has shared a sad update about her pet dog Norman after she returned with him from the vet.
The 38-year-old took to her Instagram stories to update her 1.9 million followers about the situation.
She began: “Sorry for the radio silence today, it’s been a bit of a day. Norman’s been in a wonderful vets in Oxford, having some x-rays because his legs have been very bad.
“I’ve just brought him home, he’s got chronic degenerative arthritis. He’s in a bad way with his legs but we’re treating it though, making him feel really comfortable.
“Getting him anti-inflammatory, we’re going to get him physio, so if anyone knows any physios for dogs, please let me know because I’m gonna take him for that.”

The Strictly Come Dancing star went on to say that she was going to do everything to get her pet pooch to feel well again.
Gemma’s dog’s health update comes after she previously told her followers in September that she had taken Norman to a dermatologist for tests.
She said at the time that her dog has a bad immune system and regularly gets infections.
The elderly dog was born this way and she said it was very common for his cross-breed of a springer spaniel and a poodle.

Gemma regularly posts pictures of Norman and her other dog Ollie, as they play with her two children Mia, four, and three-month-old son Thiago, with partner Gorka Marquez.
The dog lover recently shared a heartfelt plea to her followers, with a picture of herself with her sister’s dog.
The actress spoke out after it was confirmed that it will be illegal to own an XL Bully from February next year unless it is registered on the Index of Exempted Dogs.
The mum-of-two posted a lengthy caption on her Instagram feed about the ban and shared why she thinks the dog breed shouldn’t be made illegal to own.

Gemma admitted she believes it’s not the XL Bully dogs that should be blamed for attacking people, it’s their owners that are responsible for not training them correctly.
The actress invited her followers to share their thoughts in the comments section, as she passionately ended her post.
