Glastonbury and Coachella bosses ‘in heated battle for major British pop star to perform in headline slots’ ahead of singer’s third album release
Dua Lipa is preparing for her biggest performance yet as Glastonbury and Coachella Festival bosses are reportedly competing to secure her as their headliner next summer.
According to insiders, the British pop sensation, 28, is currently unsure about her decision, but is carefully considering the offers.
Should Dua choose to perform on the famous Pyramid Stage at Glasto’s Worthy Farm, it would be her first appearance in seven years, with her last performance taking place on the smaller John Peel Stage.
A source told The Sun: ‘Dua loves Glastonbury and when she last played there she described it as her “favourite thing ever”.
‘She knows how huge this opportunity is but it’s also the same for Coachella.

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Dua, and Glastonbury and Coachella organisers for comment.
The news comes as the singer is gearing up to release her highly anticipated third album in early 2024.
The source added: ‘A lot is riding on this album and Dua is pulling no punches.
‘It will cement her as one of the greatest pop stars to ever come out of the UK.’
But fans won’t have to wait long to hear fresh tracks, as some of the new music drops in just two months.
Talking about her upcoming album, Dua said: ‘I’ve definitely grown up.
‘Overall, whether it’s sonically or in terms of the themes, I’ve matured. It’s like I’m coming into my power and not afraid to talk about things. It’s about understanding what I want.’

The brunette beauty is also set to star in a film, Argylle, alongside actors Henry Cavill and John Cena on 2 February, 2024.
The trailer kicks off with Dua playing the ultimate female fatale as she seductively tells him: ‘I certainly hope you dance as well as you dress’. To which he says: ‘You’re about to find out,’ before sweeping her off her feet.
Both Henry, 40, and Dua, who had a small role in Barbie, play characters out of novelist Elly Conway’s (Bryce Dallas Howard) book.
The actor takes on the role of Agent Argylle, while Dua plays another spy. The plot follows the introverted spy novelist drawn into the real world of espionage when the plots of her books get a little too close to the activities of a sinister underground syndicate.
