After being introduced by her friend Lauren Jauregui, Hayley Kiyoko accepted the Billboard’s 2018 Rising Star Award with tears in her eyes. Hayley, who is known for her activism in support of LGBTQ youth, told her fans that “no one wants to be brave” but that because of their “support and faith” in her, she was fortunate enough to find her true “purpose in life.”
