Sam Thompson announced as winner of I’m a Celeb 2023
Talking with Pete Wickes on their podcast Staying Relevant, he admitted: “You’re not meant to say you are going in the jungle, even when you’ve landed.” But, when Sam stepped off the plane, he told a string of reporters.
The reality star was pictured at Brisbane Airport where photographers and videographers were awaiting his arrival. He continued: “There’s a clip of me going down an elevator,” when he was quizzed on how he was feeling.
Sam then made the huge blunder of saying: “Yeah can’t wait,” which confirmed his appearance in the reality show.
He continued saying he was super excited and was looking forward to meeting his campmates, which included the likes of Tony Bellew, Nigel Farage and Marvin Humes.

Pete said bosses told him: “Do not jump”, to which he replied: “Well he’s gonna jump.”
They then said they had told Sam not to jump because “the bridge is not stable”.
Despite the show winner promising producers he would not jump, he did. Pete then carried on and said he was forced to “support both” of their body weights.
Pete further attempted to move Sam around during the sweet moment to get the camera shots, but he recalled nearly “toppling over”.
He quipped: “I nearly died, and the worst part of that is that they would have found me at the bottom”.
