I’m A Celeb: Frankie Dettori poses with koala bear
Jockey Frankie Dettori and boxer Tony Bellew were confirmed as the latest campmates joining the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here campmates in the Australian jungle.
As the sporting stars get ready to make their debut on Thursday night, Frankie, 52, has shared the sad real reason behind him signing up to the show.
The Italian jockey admitted: “I’ll be honest here, it’s not about the money. I was asked to do the show many times, but actually, I always say, no, because I never actually had the time, but now that I do have the time…
“At the moment in my career in racing, I don’t think I can get any higher or bigger so if I let this opportunity go this time then perhaps when I’m retired and a nobody, then I might not get another chance,” he added to The Sun.
In addition, Frankie also joked that he hopes his jungle experience will be good for “weight loss” as he’s heading to America in five weeks.

He said: “I spent 35 years dieting. So I’ve been obviously looking at the cast, I’ll probably be the smallest one in there so I’ll probably be the one that’s going to suffer the least.
“But it’ll probably give me more incentive to get stars. There is no way you can prepare for it to be honest with you.”
As Frankie and Tony lead the stars into battle in Thursday’s Scarena trial, they will divide the camp into two rival teams.
One group will stay in the main camp while the other will move to Snake Rock and they will be faced with head-to-head challenges.

Before joining the camp, Tony, 40, shared that he suffered a family tragedy just last week following the death of his beloved grandmother, Rose.
Adding to his heartbreak, the 97-year-old died just one day after he signed his I’m A Celeb contract.
He told The Mirror: “I signed the day before she passed away, so there was no going back then. If I sign something, I honour my agreement. In an ideal world I would have left it but I had signed. I was coming, so I am here.
“I am going back to bury her on the 15th. I was going to renegade if I couldn’t move the burial date. I can bury her now when I get back.”
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues Thursday at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX
