Jenny Ryan has been cast as the Wicked Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, but some of her The Chase co-stars are already finding “excuses” not to watch her pantomime.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk about her upcoming role in the Darlington Hippodrome’s production, The Vixen star revealed that despite their close relationships, her fellow Chasers may not be in the audience this festive season.
Fortunately, Jenny, 41, explained that the ITV stars had genuine reasons for not being able to support her new career move.
Although she is hoping some of her colleagues will turn up, others are already booked up due to performing in their own pantomime roles this Christmas.
Jenny divulged: “I think a couple of my colleagues are already doing Panto themselves, so they’ve got an excuse.

“I will see them up here in Darlington and let them see, I’ll get their judgement of how scary I am.
“I think most of them are a bit scarier than me anyway at the best of times!
“That’d be a good reflection on my acting skills,” the quizzer quipped.
Revealing all about who she believes is her most frightening co-star, Jenny instantly declared the title should be given to Anne Hegerty, 65.

“Oh, Anne!” Jenny exclaimed, before adding: “She’s got such a resting fierce-face, I will call it, that will put the chills on anybody, and she enjoys being the villain in Panto as well.
“So yeah, I think she’s the scariest one, you wouldn’t want to come up against her if you were trying to rescue your fairy princess!”
Even if her co-stars won’t be seen in the audience in Darlington, The Chase fans will be able to recognise some elements of Jenny’s new villainous character, as she will be channeling The Vixen – her persona from the ITV gameshow.
Jenny spilled: “I think playing the villain is always great fun.
“You’ve got a license to ramp everything up, go right over the top, so that’s really what I’ve got to get my head into, that space.
“But there’s got to be a little bit of The Vixen in there, she’s the fierce, scary one, so she could have a little bit of input in how we play the Wicked Queen.
“She’s definitely going to help out, but I’m playing a royal so there’s going to be even more regal imperiousness about the character I’m playing.”
