Jesy Nelson officially quit Little Mix last year as the singer admitted being in the group had taken its “toll on her mental health”. The songstress was notably absent from the glittering Brit awards ceremony at the O2 Arena, in London on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old took to Instagram and revealed she had been busy working on her solo music in a candid post today.
It comes as Little Mix hit the red carpet for the Brit Awards but Jesy was nowhere to be seen.

Pregnant Perrie and Leigh-Anne cradled their blossoming baby bumps while their proud bandmate Jade stood between them.
Taking to Instagram stories, Jesy revealed she had been working on new music in the studio.
In view of her 7.8 million followers, she penned: “I nearly just cried at the song we wrote today.
“That’s how excited I am for you guys to hear this.”
Jesy didn’t tease any more details about her new project but the singer has been working on her own music since she announced she was going solo.
The popstar quit Little Mix last year after she temporarily stepped back from the band amid fears it had taken a toll on her mental health.
Despite not attending the Brit Awards, Little Mix scooped an award for Best British Group where the trio thanked Jesy for her contribution to the band.
The group members appeared visibly emotional as they read out a lengthy speech following their win.
Leigh-Anne began: “We have been together for 10 years. It’s been the best years of our lives and we have gone through so much.

“We had so much fun and made so many memories.”
She added: “We want to start by thanking our incredible fans, Jesy and our amazing team.”
Little Mix went on to thank their whole team, songwriters and the people who have worked with the group behind the scenes.
Leigh-Anne also touched on diversity and the world being more inclusive.
The Little Mix trio opted for floor-length gowns for their attire this evening, following the news that Leigh-Anne and Perrie are respectively expecting their first babies.
Leigh-Anne announced her pregnancy earlier this month in a photoshoot with her husband-to-be Andre Gray.
Days later, Perrie, revealed she is also expecting her first baby with footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The Brits is the group’s first red carpet as an official trio, following Jesy’s departure from the band last year.
