Kamala & Doug, Prince Harry & Meghan and More Celebs Who've Braved Blind Dates

Kamala Harris & Doug Emhoff

The Democratic nominee for Vice President met her lawyer husband of six years on a blind date coordinated by a mutual friend. In her memoir The Truths We Hold, Harris wrote that Emhoff left her a long-winded voicemail before meeting her, then panicked that he’d blown it before they even met. But he needn’t have worried: they hit it off immediately and wed a year later.

“Blind date, love at first sight, marriage, family, and an incredible life together. Through it all, no matter what, she is ALWAYS there for me and our family without hesitation,” Emhoff wrote in a sweet birthday tribute to his wife on Twitter.
