Following reports that she recently gave her phone number to The Kooks guitarist Hugh Harris, a inside source close to Kylie Minogue has confirmed that she's officially ready to move on following her recent break-up.
The Aussie singer, 54, is believed to have called time on her romance with GQ exec Paul Solomons earlier this year, ahead of her long-awaited new world tour.
But after an evening at London’s glitziest private members club Annabel’s alongside musician Hugh, 35 – during which he allegedly pluck up the courage to ask for her digits – Kylie is said to be keen to plunge into the dating pool.
"Kylie does feel ready for love again," our source revealed. "It’s not like she’s on a mission to find someone, she isn’t on any dating apps or anything like that, she’s just enjoying single life and flirting.
"She’s had quite a rocky love life in the past, but it hasn’t put her off. She would like to settle down."
They continued: "Of course it would be nice to find someone to grow old with. But she knows what she’s worth and she wouldn’t just settle for anything."
Speaking to press earlier this week, the She Moves In Her Own Way performer told press of his encounter with the Spinning Around singer.
"Her friend next to her was obviously like, 'Who the f*** does this guy think he is asking for Kylie’s phone number?' But do you know what she did? She turned around and she was like, 'Yeah of course, here you go,' and it was this gorgeous moment."
He added: "I don’t know if it’s her real number or not. I haven’t tried it."
Kylie had been in a long-distance relationship with Paul since moving to Melbourne in 2021 but, according to a separate source that spoke to OK! in February, they "just couldn’t make things work”.
Kylie confirmed in October 2021 that she was moving back to her native Australia after spending 30 years living in London. But the star was under no illusion that Paul, 48, would join her there and said it wasn’t going to happen when she appeared on Jessie Ware’s Table Manners podcast.
She said: "Paul’s a Welshman, but he’s been in London for almost 20 years. There’s just not going to be an Australian home. I have a British passport and an Australian passport. I think some people forget I’m Australian."
But the distance seemed to have taken its toll, with our source previously telling us: "Kylie had seen the signs that the relationship wasn’t going anywhere, but she’s not worried about what single life will look like.
"She’s of an age where she knows what she’s worth so she’s not concerned about the prospect of starting all over again with someone new.
"She’s already picking herself up. She’s focusing on herself and her career."
