Leigh-Anne Pinnock’s mum has appeared to respond to the ongoing row between the singer and her ex-bandmate Jesy Nelson.
Jesy left the group at the end of last year, and has since released her debut solo single Boyz featuring Nicki Minaj.
The split was said to be amicable between the girls, with Jesy citing her mental health for one of the reasons why she decided to leave.
However, it looks as if things have since turned sour between Jesy and the rest of Little Mix — in particular with Leigh-Anne.
Earlier this week,Leigh-Anne, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards all unfollowed Jesy on Instagram, appearing to further distance themselves from their former bandmate.
Meanwhile, in the wake of Boyz’s release last week,Jesy has been accused of black fishing, reportedly including by Leigh-Anne. Black fishing is the term used for when a white person appropriates black culture to appear black or racially ambiguous.
Alleged messages from Leigh-Anne's social media account to TikToker NoHun surfaced where the messages made the accusations.
Nicki Minaj has since come to Jesy’s defence and appeared to brand Leigh-Anne as a “clown”.
Jesy has also defended herself saying: “My intention was never to offend people of colour with this video and my song.”
She added: "I just want to touch on the whole tanning thing as well, when I was in the video with you [Nicki], I didn't have fake tan on. I'd been in Antigua prior to that for three weeks."
Following the indirect back-and-forth between Jesy and Leigh-Anne, Leigh-Anne’s mum Debbie Pinnock took to Twitter to voice her support for her daughter who recently became a mum herself for the first time.
Debbie wrote on Twitter Tuesday evening, 12 October: “#WeLoveYouLeigh”. She then proceeded to thank people also voicing their support for the Wings singer.
Little Mix fans have since replied to Debbie’s tweet, with one person writing: “We love her so much and we will always defend her honour !!!!! She didn’t do anything wrong and doesn’t deserve the way people are talking about her, I hope the real villains in this story do get held accountable.”
Someone else said: “Please give her a big hug from us all, we won’t let this get swept under the rug our girl deserves so much better, I hope she knows how much we all love her.”
A third commented: “I hope she is okay. Please do let us know and tell her how much we love her and have her back always.”
