Love Island starlet Amber Gill won the heart of the nation when Michael Griffith cruelly dumped her for Joanna.
But her mum has discussed how unbearable it was to watch her daughter go through pain.
In a recent interview with New magazine , mum Vanessa Waugh told of her struggle to watch the scenes.
"Casa Amor was difficult because everyone was talking about it. My daughter was at the centre of it all, so it was her real emotions and feelings. It was heartbreaking," she said.
Beauty therapist Amber was left devastated as Michael dumped her for Joanna Chimonides, who was booted out on Monday night.
Vanessa was frustrated by the situation, stating: "It did seem like she was handling the situation well, but there's no one else in there she has a connection with. It takes a while for her to build up trust and let her guard down."
Michael was not popular with either party as Joanna branded him "a f**king snake" for not leaving with her on Monday night.
Despite the dumping, Amber has admitted that she is still pining for the Liverpudlian firefighter, 28, even though he has ruled out a reunion.
