Love Island boys ‘hit by norovirus but it was edited out’ claims Ollie Williams

Ollie Williams has claimed that the boys in the Love Island villa were struck with norovirus but producers edited it out of the show.

The 23-year-old left the villa after just three days, saying that he realised that he was 'still in love' with his ex, Laura Nofer.

His time in the villa was marred by a media storm surrounding alleged trophy hunting photos that were circulated on social media.

Now out of the show, Ollie has been revealing some behind-the-scenes secrets to The Sun, including that the some of the Islanders were hit with the contagious bug.

This led to producers being on 'high alert' as it could be spread by kissing.

Ollie believes that it could have been the water that gave them the violent stomach bug, saying: "I definitely had a bad tummy, all the boys got it too."

He went on to say that one night there was "a mad dash to the toilets" and as you "drink loads of water in there" he thinks that may have been the source.

Ollie said that it passed through "pretty quickly" but he was left feeling under the weather for a while.

He also claimed: "I think some of the girls may have got it too as I saw them running to the loos, but they weren't as obvious as the lads."

Viewers have not seen any hint that the Islanders have been suffering from stomach bugs, for which there is no cure and it just has to pass through the body, with projectile vomiting one of the symptoms.

Ollie also claimed that while the villa is usually pretty much alcohol free, he said that the booze was flowing on the first night.

He said that they "all got wasted on the first night," and they were "so tipsy because more people bought in booze."

Since leaving the villa, Ollie has reconnected with his ex Laura and has now vowed that he wants to marry her.

Speaking about his u-turn in his feelings for Laura, he admitted that she "is the girl I want to marry."

He added: "We're going to move in together in London over the next few months. I can't wait to start a life with her."
