In the ever-shifting sands of Love Island romances, former Love Island star Casey O’Gorman has admitted to fancying newly-single Jess Harding.
Speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show podcast, Casey, 26, confessed: "My type changes all the time, from Molly Smith to Georgia Steel. I thought I was a blonde guy, then I think I’m brunette. Then I’m like, looks fade, I want a personality.”
He then added: "From the [Love Island] that’s just finished, I loved Jess. I loved her personality. I think she’s sick. So I’d be most attracted to her from that season."
Watch this space, as Jess announced her shock separation from Sammy Root at the beginning of this week.
Responding to a fan for an Instagram Q&A, Jess wrote: "I really don't want to go into detail by doing a big statement but we're just very different and behave differently and that's it."
Sammy, a 22-year-old project manager, seemed rather baffled by their very public split.
Having discovered that they were officially over via various news lines, he shared on social media: "Hi guys, I thought I would come online to address today's news about me and Jess. Yes we had a private conversation regarding our relationship but this was left up in the air as Jess is still away and we haven't had a chance to speak in person. For me to then see today via the media that we had officially broken up came as a total shock.
"To be totally clear – I at least wanted a face to face conversation to see if our relationship could be saved and felt this would be the respectful way forward," he pointed out.
"We had the most incredible experience winning Love Island and I genuinely saw a future with Jess. I was committed and respectful to our relationship. Unfortunately things don't always work out the way you'd hoped. Despite how this has all played out today. I think Jess is an amazing woman and genuinely wish her all the best."
Casey has also had his fair share of drama since leaving the villa with ex Claudia Fogarty.
Claudia, 28, and Casey starred on the winter version of the show earlier this year, where they struck up a connection and ended up partnered together, before Casey recoupled with newcomer Rosie Seabrook, then split from her days after the show ended.
Despite plenty of drama ensuing, Claudia and Casey were spotted looking cosy on social media on a number of occasions.
Speaking on the Goss Island podcast, Casey said: "We might have overstepped the friendship boundary maybe once or twice on a night out, but it is very much just friends."
He continued: "And since that happened, we’ve basically said we can’t be doing that. We’re just going to stay being friends."
