Friends star Matthew Perry dies aged 54
The world was devastated when news broke that Matthew Perry had died on Saturday aged 54.
Following the tragic death of Matthew, it has been revealed he had a special connection with his Friends co-stars, but especially, Lisa Kudrow.
He previously told Diane Sawyer: “It made it kind of difficult to go to work because I had to pretend I didn’t have these crushes.”
However, he knew he could never act on it because there was a “no hookup rule” between the cast members.
Despite no romance hitting off between the pair, Lisa maintained a strong platonic relationship with Matthew, always offering him support.

Speaking after Matthew released his memoir last year, Friends Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing, Lisa reflected on their time on Friends.
Lisa acknowledged that she and their other co-stars knew that he was struggling with his demons, but didn’t know how to address it, or if it was even their place.
She explained to ET: “Over those years I didn’t really try to intervene or confront him, because the little I knew about addiction was that his sobriety was out of my hands.

“And yet, I would have periods of wondering if I was wrong for not doing more, doing something. But I did come to understand that this disease relentlessly fed itself and was determined to keep going.”
Reflecting on how he was doing at the time, she added: “He has survived impossible odds but I had no idea how many times he almost didn’t make it.
“I’m glad you’re here, Matty. Good for you. I love you.”
In his memoir, Matthew revealed he nearly died five years earlier, after he spent two weeks in a coma and five months in hospital after his colon burst.
He recalled suffering a gastrointestinal perforation when his colon burst from opioid overuse, leaving him needing a colostomy bag for nine months.
Speaking to People about his decision to release his memoir, Matthew explained: “I wanted to share when I was safe from going into the dark side of everything again.
“I had to wait until I was pretty safely sober — and away from the active disease of alcoholism and addiction — to write it all down. And the main thing was, I was pretty certain that it would help people.”
