“But please, people, girls and boys, stop saying you’re s**g people, stop saying you’re seeing people that you’re not, because when it comes back around, and the information gets back to the person, it is so embarrassing for you.”

She added: “But, yeah, for the record, I am 100% single.”

Maya previously dated grime artist Stormzy, however, the couple split last year.

At the time of their split, a source told The Sun: “Maya has moved out of their home in South West London.

“The decision isn’t one she has come to lightly, but ultimately the relationship has come to an end.

“She wants to focus on her TV and radio career for now.”

The couple had dated for four years and went public with their relationship in 2016 after keeping their relationship out of the spotlight for months.

Talking about how people knew her as Stormzy’s girlfriend, she told The Guardian: “I understood at the time.

“He was – he is – massive in the public eye, and a lot of people didn’t know who I was.

“But now I do feel people know my name separately, and it does feel like I’m coming into my own.

“It feels like I’m finally getting recognition for my hard work.”

Later in her interview with the publication, Maya spoke of how the death of her first love changed her life.

The radio presenter said: “That changed my life completely.

“Losing somebody close to you as a teenager, particularly your first love, rocks your whole world and you are forced to see life differently.

“And you feel like life is too short. I don’t want to look back and not have done everything I wanted to do.

“He was an innocent man who lost his life instantly at 21, and that shocks you, and it also makes you snap up, like, no, I’m not wasting time any more.”
