Michael Douglas announces archive collection on his father’s life
The 79-year-old was joined by his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones for a few snaps, one of which saw the couple posing on an intricately designed bench with armrests carved into golden lions.
The Hollywood couple gleefully smiled at the camera as they sported sunglasses and hats to evade the dazzling Indian sunshine.
The Kominsky Method star matched his dark blue baseball cap with a blue button-up shirt, casual grey slacks and black sneakers.
The Wednesday actress opted for a more elegant look with a wide-brimmed sunhat and floral blouse over white trousers and paired with some tan sneakers of her own.
Some fans teased the actor, making a pun out of the photo: “That is one instance where you wouldn’t mind being ‘benched’.” (sic)
In another photo, Michael got a candid snap as he stood in front of some elaborate statues in a temple, with a crowd of schoolchildren sitting behind him seemingly on a day trip to the monument.
The Wall Street star also sparked a fan frenzy in the comments with a hilarious selfie as he and Catherine went on a safari.
Michael stared into the camera wide-eyed with a little elephant visible in the background, with Catherine evidently far more invested in the animal as she didn’t even turn around for her husband’s photo.
The Queen America star shared her own posts from their Indian getaway with a clip of a gentle river with a barge peacefully travelling past the camera, captioned: “Join me as I sit still and take in my view.”

Michael and Catherine’s son, Dylan, joined the couple on their weeks-long trip with the Ant-Man star previously sharing a snap of the trio in front of a temple in Thanjavur as they all donned flower necklaces.
The getaway comes after Michael was invited to attend the International Film Festival of India in Goa late last month to mark a major milestone.
The Oscar winner received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the festival, saying in his acceptance speech that he was “humbled” by the honour, adding: “Cinema is one of the few mediums that has the power to unite and transform us. It transcends divisions, whether that be geography, race, language and even time.
“Today our global language of cinema is more meaningful than ever.”
