Motsi Mabuse on this year's Strictly cast
Strictly Come Dancing star Motsi Mabuse has reportedly been sued by her ex-husband Timo Kulczak over “outrageous” claims she made about him in her 2022 autobiography, Finding My Own Rhythm.
In her book, Motsi claimed that Timo stopped her from falling pregnant, dictated what she ate and limited her access to money. Timo has vehemently denied all claims.
As reported by The Sun, Timo’s lawyers have now asked the court to jail the 42-year-old for up to six months or fine her £250,000 if she ever repeats the claims made in her book.
The lawsuit, which has been filed at Offenburg Regional Court in Germany, states that Motsi must stop “implying that the plaintiff made the defendant suffer during their marriage”.
It also demands that she declares “publicly the statements published in the book and cited press reports are untrue”.

Timo told the aforementioned publication in April: “I have tried to settle this out of court.
“But I am not prepared to accept the situation whereby she makes up outrageous things about me.”
His lawyer, Samy Hammad, added: “Ms Mabuse is refusing to pay, and so the court now has to decide.
“All we just want her to do is to retract the untruths published about him, and to compensate him accordingly.

“My client’s reputation has repeatedly been trashed. You have to threaten a penalty saying if you do it again, this is what I want in terms of money, or in terms of the prison sentence.”
Motsi and German dancer Timo married in 2003 after meeting at a dance tournament in London.
They were together for 11 years before calling it quits in 2014. Timo previously said that he remembers their relationship as “positive and happy”.
Describing their split in her book, Motsi wrote: “Timo and I went to Thailand, and I told him, once and for all, that I was leaving. We fought every day, but I refused to back down this time.”
Following their divorce, the judge found love with her dance partner Evgenij Voznyuk and they married in 2017.
It was two years later that she replaced Darcey Bussell as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing and she has held that position ever since.
