Neil Jones: Newly single star responds to ex Katya Jones as she issues apology for tattoo

Strictly's Katya Jones relaxes with dog Crumble after isolation

Newly single Neil Jones, 38, asked Katya Jones, 31, how her mum reacted to her first tattoo as she jokingly apologised for her new inking. Katya shared a selfie showcasing her tattoo, which is located on her right wrist, yesterday. The Russian beauty could be seen striking a sultry pose to the camera as she held her arm up to the camera.

The Strictly Come Dancing pro commented: “I guess it’s time. It’s been long enough, I’m ready.

“Sorry mum, i got a tattoo. #bekind #tattoo #strictlycomedancing #sorrymum #newyear.”

Neil commented: “Haha what did she say?”

In response to her former spouse, she wrote: “She still doesn’t believe me!”

Many more of the dancer’s 180,000 flocked to her post to share their thoughts.

One wrote: “Welcome to the inked club.”

A second commented: “That’s it now, you’ll be covered in a year!”

“Mums just don’t get the desire to have tattoos,” a third added.

Katya later reassured her fans that her mum is fine with her new body art, as she commented: “She like my post! I’m safe.”(sic)

Neil’s comment to his ex comes after his split from model and dancer Luisa Eusse.

The latter was his first girlfriend since splitting from Katya in August 2019.

The pair were together for 11 years and married for six years, but remained friends following their split.

Back in June, Neil said of their split: “We found that we’d grown apart like people do, so we were like, ‘OK, let’s go our separate ways’.

“We are lucky that we don’t have kids.”

In his interview with The Sun, he also confirmed the pair’s divorce proceedings had been put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A month later, Katya said she was happy being single, in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk.

She said: “I’m in such a good place by myself, that’s why I’ve not struggled to be in lockdown by myself.

“I didn’t feel lonely because I’m in a good place, I’m my own soulmate. I can spend hours with myself and not get bored.”

She added: “It’s important to be happy yourself first and then be open and things will come, but currently I’m just enjoying my own company which is lovely.”

Katya went on to say she is still in regular contact with her ex Neil, who she shares a dog Crumble with.

“We are really good friends,” she added.

“He’s been supporting all my projects and I’ve been supporting all his projects, it’s really nice.

“We’re always on FaceTime and stuff so it’s good.”
