Pete Wicks has admitted he felt Dan Edgar’s accusations that he “doesn’t like” him were “out of the blue” as he opened up about their misunderstanding.
After a brief time away from Essex, The Only Way Is Essex star Pete, 31, was recently greeted with claims he has “made digs” about Dan, 30, following Dan’s romance with Chloe, after it was revealed Pete and Chloe have “blurred the lines” with their relationship for the past two years.
On a recent episode of the ITVBe series, Dan confided in Diags about tensions between the pair.
He said: “At the time, I didn’t think nothing of it, I honestly didn’t. But, obviously, looking back now all these things add up and, I suppose, it all ties in with the thing that happened with me and Chloe.”

Diags then told Dan: “If you think about it, if he had that strong feelings toward Chloe for that amount of time – what’s it been two years? He’s probably watching that happen knowing he has feelings for her.”
Dan added: “He must have hated it,” before he admitted: “Do you know what, I don’t think he likes me, mate.
“I just think I wanna be like: ‘Look, mate if their is a problem and you don’t like me, then fine. But, the digs, all this stuff needs to stop’. Otherwise, it’s just like he’s being fake with me.”
TOWIE hunks Dan and Pete came face to face on Wednesday 21 October’s episode as Chloe insisted Dan knew about her romance with Pete before anything happened between them.
However, the pair seemed to have settled their beef, but Chloe, 37, didn’t appear convinced as she warned that now she and Pete were back on track that it was “over for these b***hes”.
And, in a recent chat with OK! online as he has trained to become a Lucha Libre wrestler with Jose Cuervo, Pete admitted he was blindsided by Dan’s accusations.
When asked about Dan’s comments he told us: “It’s a bit of a mental one, that one, I don’t really know where that came from. I think a lot of people have an awful lot of opinions on things that a lot of people are surrounded by people who have delusional opinions on stuff, unfortunately.

“Me and Dan have been mates for a long time, we’ve never had a row and you’ll have to wait an see what happens between the two of us. But, Dan’s a good guy, we’ve all got our own faults, he’s got his, I’ve got mine and it is what it is.
“Sometimes people disagree on stuff but I’ve never had an issue with Dan, it was sort of a bit out of the blue for me.”
