Peter Andre wants son Junior to do Strictly Come Dancing as Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Tilly is tipped for show

Ruth Langsford revealed that she confronted someone who broke social distancing rules and a similar thing happened to me.

Someone who delivered a parcel to my house asked for a selfie and I said, “OK, but we’ll have to do it by social distancing.” He went, “Nah, don’t be stupid, come on.” And I said, “No.”

It was the first time I’d ever felt like I was being rude to someone who asked for something, but at the same time I thought, “Mate, do you not understand?”

The thing is, the rules are unclear, so maybe some people don’t get it since the advice changed from “Stay at home” to “Stay alert”.

I’m A Celeb bosses are said to be having crisis meetings as they’re unsure whether the show will be coming back this year in light of the pandemic.

Thinking about it, it might be easier to social distance than on other reality shows because it’s filmed outdoors. But obviously you have the travel situation as well.

It’ll be gutting if we don’t get the show on our screens this year, but everyone’s having to make sacrifices. This will certainly be a year we’ll never forget.

The kids went back to school this week and Emily and I had different views on whether Millie should go back, too.

But Emily’s a doctor and if she thinks it’s OK, then I’m going with that. If it was down to me, I’d have them at home for a bit longer, but Mills is desperate to go back!

The worry is that kids don’t understand social distancing. We’re the kind of parents who say to them, “When you see people, give them a hug.”

Now all of a sudden it’s like, “You can’t.” So I understand why some parents will have chosen not to send their kids back to school yet.

The Government announced that some non-essential shops will be opening this week and I agree that it’s the right time.

But I still don’t know what that means for someone like my brother Mike, who’s a barber, and I still think a couple of things are unclear.

What’s annoyed me, and a lot of other people, is that at the time of writing my column, they still haven’t made the rules clear when you can see your family and friends.

People might meet up with their family now and not know if they’re breaking the rules or not.

It’s absolutely terrible we haven’t been told the thing we most want to know about!

As for chief adviser Dominic Cummings, who drove 260 miles to his parents’ farm during the lockdown, I understand the outrage.

You can’t be telling everyone they must stay at home and then go and break the rules yourself.

Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Tilly is said to be in talks to take part in Strictly Come Dancing.

I think it’d be a really good show for Bista or Junior to do, because you actually learn a skill.

On the downside, you’ve got to be thick-skinned in this industry and be able to take negative comments from the judges.

As you know, I like watching shows like Love Island, but it’s not something I’d want my kids to do. I said to Junior, “If you want to do a show like that, be the presenter. I just don’t want you to be a contestant.”

I’m A Celeb is great too, because my kids are the only children ever to come about as a result of that show.
