This Morning's Craig Doyle shares greeting with his dog
This Morning presenter Craig Doyle has revealed what it’s really like to work with Holly Willoughby, 42.
The 52-year-old is one of the show’s many hosts who have replaced Phillip Schofield as Holly’s co-star from Monday to Thursday.
In a new interview, Craig had nothing but praise for the show’s current longest-serving host.
Speaking to Kate Thornton on her White Wine podcast, he said: “She’s a very lovely, lovely, human being, and people need to realise that. She’s unbelievable.
“One of the best I’ve ever worked with. Ever. I didn’t know Holly beforehand.

“I’d never met her, once or twice, but I don’t really mix in any circles, I had no pre-judgment.”
“Nothing. I went in there and I only ever judge people by how they behave whilst they’re in front of me. I don’t care about anything else. I can spot an a******** from a distance. She is a wonderful person. A really, really kind lovely person.”
Later on in the chat, he also praised the production team for making him feel welcome.
Craig stepped in as host on the show after previously fronting some of ITV’s competitions. Viewers may also recognise him for covering events on BT Sport and his chat show Tonight with Craig Doyle.
The presenter’s interview comes four months after Phillip confessed to an affair he had with a young runner from the show, which he previously denied.

Following this, many were left questioning if Holly knew about the situation and she later addressed the drama on the show.
During a lengthy speech, she told viewers she felt “let down” by Phillip, who she previously hailed her “best friend” for a number of years.
Holly also said she felt “shaken, troubled, let down, and worried” for “the wellbeing of people on all sides of what’s going on”.
“You, me and all of us at This Morning gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth. Who acted in a way that they themselves felt that they had to resign from ITV and step down from a career that they loved. That is a lot to process,” she continued.
“And it’s equally hard to see the toll that it’s taken on their own mental health.
“I think what unites us all now is a desire to heal for the health and wellbeing of everyone. I hope that as we start this new chapter and get back to a place of warmth and magic that this show holds for all of us, we can find strength in each other,” Holly concluded.
By her side at the time was co-host Josie Gibson, who reached out to her for a hug.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
