Princess Eugenie has shared a look inside her life as a mother, including the one strict parenting rule she learnt from Meghan Markle.
The 33 year old, who shares two sons, August, two, and Ernest, four months, with husband Jack Brooksbank, 37, gave an insight into being a mum of two boys.
Speaking on the White Wine Question Time podcast, hosted by Kate Thornton, Eugenie said: "My kids are so wonderful. Augie is a two and a half-year-old firecracker and just listens to me, I don't know why. And Ernie smiles the whole time so they're really easy and wonderful boys," she said.
"If there was a tournament in the Olympics of sleeping, I think I would win it. I could sleep for Great Britain as a national sport and so I think my boys have gained that talent, and they are deep, deep sleepers. I hate to say this to all mums listening but they are really good sleepers."
Speaking on how she's raising her boys, Princess Eugenie told Kate: "'Manners maketh man' – I'm trying to do that with my kids right now."
The proverb, which derives from a shared understanding that courtesy and good manners should be the undercurrent of everything, is also the Duchess of Sussex's method to parenting her own children.
In her tell-all interview with The Cut, which was released in August 2022, the wife of Prince Harry, 39, opened up on how she's raising her son, four year old Prince Archie.
Meghan, 42, said: "We always tell him: 'Manners make the man. Manners, manners, manners, manners, manners,'"
Princess Eugenie has maintained a close relationship with her cousin, Harry, and his wife Meghan, despite their ongoing rift with other members of the royal family – so it's no surprise they're swapping parenting tips.
Elsewhere in the podcast, the royal revealed that "terrifyingly ugly" paparazzi photos from the past have caused people to come up to her to tell her that she looks better in person.
"There's been terrifyingly ugly shots of us coming out of bars," Eugenie said of her and her younger sister Princess Beatrice. "I have people come up to me sometimes and say, ‘Oh you’re much better looking in real life,’ and you’re like, ‘Agh. Is that a compliment? I dunno.’"
Eugenie's comments come after she celebrated her fifth wedding anniversary with husband Jack on 12 October.
The pair got married on 12 October 2018 and tied the knot in a stunning ceremony at St George’s Chapel, Windsor which was attended by celebrities including Pixie Geldof and Robbie Williams.
