Rebecca Humphries’ life was torn apart back in October by the front page news that her live-in boyfriend Seann Walsh had publicly cheated on her by snogging his Strictly Come Dancing partner Katya Jones in the street.
She quickly dumped him with a caustic statement that instantly won her legions of fans – especially when she said she had "taken the cat" in reference to her and Seann’s shared moggy, Winston.
Now that eight weeks have passed, actress Rebecca has thrown herself into new business venture The Trowel, which aims to empower women with honest reviews of beauty products and gifts.
To mark the website’s launch, Rebecca opened up her real diary entry from the day she was dealt the crushing blow that her relationship had ended with a crash.
"The following is a diary excerpt, dated Sunday 7th October 2018," she wrote on the site.
"2.38pm. Last night my world fell apart a bit.
"At around 12.30am my mate Rigby came to the flat I shared with the now-ex boyfriend. He literally scraped me up off the floor and put me & Winston in a cab straight to his, where he & Claire funnelled shiraz into my mouth and basically watched me eat a packet of fags.
"Today my life is a front page. Am bereft yet weirdly lightened by speaking candidly to friends for the first time. Honesty is apparently the best policy. Who knew?
"Claire and Rigby are sensational friends. Today over a breakfast of Marboro Golds Claire pointed out that when her hero, Marian Keyes, went through a difficult period in her life she made a cake a day and it really helped her cope. Saved By Cakes, her book was called. Claire pointed it out on the shelf.
"’Claire,’ I replied, ‘I’m not making a f**king cake.’"
Rebecca’s first positive action after the brutal betrayal was to write a beauty product review, which kickstarted the idea for her new site.
"I’ve written one review a day ever since. Well, apart from those days where everything felt too much. But on those days Claire did it for me," she added.
Rebecca’s success comes as comedian Seann, who got voted off Strictly two weeks after Kissgate, made a pointed remark about his snog partner’s husband, Neil Jones.
Seann told the crowd at the Always Be Comedy night at The Tommyfield in Kennington on Friday night: "Before the show, the newspapers were complaining they didn’t know who I was.
"You know who I am now, motherf**ker. I’m the guy who kissed a gay man’s wife."
Giggling uncontrollably, he backtracked and said: "Please don’t report that. I’m only joking. I’m just here trying to make you laugh."
But the comic appeared unapologetic as he joked that he didn’t "bang" his 29-year-old dance partner.
Seann also attempted to turn the cheating scandal into new material at a gig at London’s Comedy Store on Monday night.
In his first performance since pictures of the steamy embrace emerged, the comedian admitted he "f**ked up" by kissing Katya.
But the defiant TV star still refused to apologise to his ex-girlfriend.
During a nine-minute set, during which he was booed and jeered by the crowd, he insisted that his relationship was already “coming to an end”, according to The Sun .
He added that he only signed up to the BBC1 show to avoid having to watch it on TV.
Addressing the elephant in the room, Seann said: "Look, I don’t really need to explain myself but I will anyway.
"I was coming towards the end of my relationship, I was getting on with this girl.
"You spend a lot of time with your dance partner on the show and we went for a drink and one thing led to the other. Most of you have seen the result."
He added: "I actually started to think to myself, ‘Hang on, have I actually done anything that wrong?’"
Seann’s tour is cheekily titled ‘After this one I’m going home’ in a not-so-veiled reference to the drunken night out that sparked the scandal – something that has reportedly left Neil Jones raging.
