Robbie Williams’ wife Ayda ‘vulnerable’ after devastating call ending marriage

Ayda shared a video on Instagram expressing her nervousness about the release of her husband Robbie William’s new Netflix documentary. In her post, she wrote: “Anyone else feeling nervous? Let me know your thoughts… #herewego #robbiewilliams #netflix @robbiewilliams @shopayda AWxx”

In the video, Ayda talked about receiving many texts about the show, making her feel “incredibly vulnerable”. She likened the experience to fans peering into their private lives, saying it felt like the public were “looking through their knicker drawer”.

She said: “Hi everybody in Instaworld it is the eve of the premiere of the Robbie Williams documentary on Netflix and I have been getting a lot of texts about it today and it occurred to me as I was getting all these texts that I’m feeling incredibly vulnerable about everyone seeing out lives, Robbie’s life, our life, our kids’. It feels like everyone’s kind of looking through my knicker drawer, Rob’s knicker drawer.”

Ayda shared: “I just thought that I’d share that I’m feeling super nervous and vulnerable so I hope you all are into it, moved by it, like it. I definitely cried several times and had many proud moments and look forward to sharing it one day with my children who will have lots of questions.”

“But anyway I hope you enjoy it, I just thought I would share a vulnerable moment with you so hope you all tune in and find something about it especially the man behind it a good guy and a good documentary. That’s all I got so everyone enjoy your evening and I look forward to your thoughts.”

Robbie’s documentary was released on Netflix on Wednesday morning and explores the behind-the-scenes of Robbie’s rise to fame. It also looks at Robbie’s current life as his family life.

This comes as the pair spoke out about a phone call that ended the couple’s relationship. She explains that the former Take That star called her one morning shortly before his 33rd birthday admitting his team was sending him to rehab.

Explaining the heartbreaking phone call, Ayda said: “I remember it was 2 am and I called him and I was like, ‘I am just getting on the highway’ and he’s like, ‘Are you driving? Call me when you get home.’ And he is like, ‘I can’t be in a relationship, I have to get better and I can’t be with you. I have to break up with you.”

Ayda shared: “And it was like, I understood it because I saw that he was unwell and I remember thinking, ‘I just want you to get better.'” She also confessed she felt “so crestfallen” adding: “He was my soulmate and then he was gone.”
