Rylan Clark is “growing very close” to his new man Declan Doyle after “finding comfort” in him following the collapse of his marriage to Dan Neal, a source has told us.
Rylan and Declan were snapped for the first time outside a restaurant in London’s Marylebone earlier this month, but have actually been dating since April.
And our source has said the pair bonded over their previous break-ups, with Declan recently splitting from Geordie Shore star Nathan Henry.
“Rylan and Declan have been on over 10 dates and love each other’s company. They are growing very close,” said the source.
“They are both still single but seem to be having a lot of fun together. Things between them have recently begun to get more serious.”
Rylan, 33, announced his separation from 42-year-old Dan in June 2021, after six years of marriage.
The TV presenter has been open about the “difficult” period in his life, saying: “I got ill and I lost weight, I went down to under 10st – and I’m 6ft 4in, so that’s not good.
“The honest truth is that it’s been s**t. I didn’t deal with what happened and now I am. I felt unwell and it was a very difficult time for me.”
Meanwhile, Celebrity Ex On The Beach star Declan, 32, parted ways with Nathan, 31, three months ago after realising they were “no longer compatible” during a trip to Mexico.
“They have both suffered awful break-ups and are finding comfort in one another because of that,” the source added. “They’re supporting each other and have begun to develop feelings. They really like each other and are hoping that something more serious can develop.”
Meanwhile, Declan’s agent confirmed: “Declan is currently single and keeping his options open. He is enjoying his time with Rylan and allowing things to progress naturally.”
Rylan previously admitted he was “starting from scratch” when it came
to being back on the dating scene.
“Not only do you have to start again – which is an effort as it is – add to that you are ‘Rylan’. It’s a little bit weird,” he said last month.
“I am s**t at things like this. I am not confident when it comes down to that side of things, so I am just trying to take baby steps.”
