Angela Rippon has revealed a “challenging” and “complicated” week is ahead for her, as she plans to juggle recording sessions for a new series of Rip Off Britain with intense training alongside Strictly dance partner Kai Widdrington.
The hard-working 79-year-old is expecting an exhausting and action-packed itinerary, which she explained to her 2,565 Twitter followers in a new video.
“This is going to be a very crowded week because it’s not just Strictly I’m doing… it’s recording a whole new series of Rip Off Britain as well,” she confided.
“That means being in London, in Manchester, and in Blackpool – but it is going to be an exciting week because it’ll be the first time that Kai has been able to dance in the competition in Blackpool, even though he did dance there as a little boy when he was in competitions.”
She added that after presenting Come Dancing in Blackpool from 1988, the pair will both be able to enjoy “so many memories” at the Tower Ballroom.

The star continued: “It’s going to be a difficult, complicated week… filming every day in the morning and then rehearsing and training in the afternoon.
“It’s a week when I’ll [both] be fighting for consumer rights and fighting to remember the steps to the American Smooth, which I’ll be dancing with Kai this week!”
The experience might be bittersweet, as some fans have lashed out at the judges’ decision to keep Angela after the dance off, while eliminating newsreader Krishan Guru-Murthy instead.
Head judge Shirley Ballas had revealed on Sunday night’s results show that she would’ve opted to keep Krishnan and his pro partner Lauren Oatley, but was outnumbered.

Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton du Beke all remained on Angela’s side, guaranteeing her a place in the coveted Blackpool Week stage of the competition.
However, some members of the public were left furious over the decision, despite Angela’s incredibly flexibly moves initially winning over the hearts of the nation.
Fans exclaimed that she “almost fell over” while performing her Paso Doble to Madonna’s Hung Up for a second time, and “didn’t deserve” to remain in the competition on the basis of the dance off.
Craig had reassured her: “Angela, you nearly lost your supporting leg, darling, in the kick but you saved it, miraculously.”
Meanwhile, Motsi sensationally admitted she was torn, revealing: “I’ve never been so undecided in my decision.”
Shirley, on the other hand, followed up by saying: “I picked the person that I felt was more grounded on their feet without any technical errors and I would have saved Krishnan and Lauren.”
Fans lashed out after the result was announced, with one tweeting: “Sorry this is such a fix. How can you say ‘Angela, you literally almost fell over. Krishnan you were significantly better but I’m still gonna save Angela?’ This is such a fix. Never agreed with Shirley before wtf is going on?”
Despite that, Angela was inundated with “good luck” messages on her Twitter account after the BBC star revealed all about the fast-paced week she has coming up ahead.
