Strictly unveils BBC presenter Nikita Kanda as ninth contestant
Nikita Kanda put aside her dancing woes to attend the Pride of Britain awards just hours after being eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing.
Nikita, 28, and professional dance partner Gorka Marquez, 33, are the latest couple to be voted off the hit BBC dance show.
But Nikita put on a brave face as she shared a video on her social media showing her on the way to the awards show.
Sharing the clip to her 35,500 followers, the broadcaster could be seen in the back of a car heading to the glitzy event.
She added the caption: “On my way to Pride of Britain awards tonight @itv” and whilst she had nothing to say on the video, she gave fans a sneak peek at her outfit.

This week was the second time the dance couple found themselves in the bottom two.
They were almost sent packing last week when they were placed in a dance-off with Les Dennis and Nancy Xu.
But their luck ran out as they entered this week’s dance-off with Zara McDermott and pro partner Graziano Di Prima.
The couple once again performed their Jive to Kids in America whilst dressed as characters from the hit 1990’s movie, Clueless.
All judges opted to save Zara and Graziano.
Speaking to Tess immediately after the result, Nikita said: “I don’t want to leave yet, but I feel like I’ve let him [Gorka] down.”
She also said “I’ve had the best time and I love all my Strictly family” as she battled to hold back the tears.
