Rising to fame as on hit ITV quiz show The Chase Mark Labbett has revealed he has hired a bodyguard after being groped at public appearances.
The TV favourite, 56, is a popular regular on the show and makes public appearances around the country to meet fans but, has admitted to having to hire a bodyguard to protect him as he regularly gets “felt up”.
He told The Sun: “I can safely say on any given gig I get my a**e felt up to four times.
“Every gig I get sexually assaulted.
“The worst one, I was wearing jeans and the woman grabbed my meat and two veg through them.
“If I’d have done that to her I’d be in the cells.”
Mark admits to feeling “violated” by fans and revealed he has hired his own bodyguard now to attend gigs with him and “keep an eye” for him at the appearances.
He said: “I felt violated. I’ve got a guy I work with now and he keeps an eye for me and will detect when something like that is going to happen.
“I do a lot of student gigs and I get the young ladies who are only 19 or 20, I say, ‘love, leave me alone’.”
The star has recently undergone a dramatic weight loss and dropped an incredible three clothes sizes.
Sharing a selfie on Instagram earlier this year, the 6ft 6" star revealed how much weight he’d lost.
He told fans: “Down to 52 inch chest from 60". So was 5XL, now 2XL. Still a lot of work to do.”
Mark, who was nicknamed The Beast on The Chase, revealed that he’s shed 10 stone in the past year.
His decision to lose weight came after this doctor advised him to do so when he was diagnosed with diabetes in 2017 and weighing 29 stone at the time.

Discussing his health scare, Mark toldThe Express: "I've got skin that doesn't heal properly in my lower legs. A nurse looked at me and she asked, 'Are you sure you're not diabetic?' They took a test and she said, 'Yes, you're diabetic.'"
“I've still got a way to go,” the Chaser said of his weight loss. “It turned out a couple of years ago I wasn't far away from being non diabetic. I got pretty close to it. Unfortunately, I let myself go a bit because I didn't know at the time."
